STAGES: Life in Lockdown
Museum of Australian Photography (MAPh) Intended for exhibition in the Atrium, online.
"Life in lockdown" are photographs by people who lived through Victoria’s lockdowns during 2020 and 2021 as a result of the COVID-19 global pandemic.
Participants responded to MAPh’s callout for photographs that encapsulate individual experiences of life in these lockdowns.
Growing progressively throughout the course of the exhibition and resulting in an explosion of images across MAPh’s Atrium Gallery walls, this exhibition documents the lived experiences of people in our community, providing a cultural record of the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic."
This image taken in the 5km radius of my home was photographed in Melbourne's Lockdown in Spring 2020. This gesture collects the chemical traces of the Diosma shrub to the nose for a closer reading.
